Kev Boulter 1960 to 2021

It’s with great personal sadness that I have to report the recent sudden death of long time club member Kev Boulter. I remember a little kid with a shock of black curly hair being brought to the club to join the junior water polo team by his father. Kevin played for the Junior team and then Senior team for many years in both the Midland and National Leagues. He went on to captain the team that won the National U/16 Championships in 1976. He represented Staffordshire U/18 and Midland District U/16 Teams

After he stopped playing Polo he completed various Open Water swims notably the Great North Swim and the Great East Swim. He also coached a Ladies football team. He still swam in the Masters lane twice per week up until the Covid Pandemic which then meant he couldn't attend. Kev was desperate to get back into the water and would regularly call me to find out when the covid rules were going to be relaxed. A genuinely nice guy with a broad smile and a huge sense of clubmanship and service to sport. He will be sadly missed.

Kevin leaves wife Jan and grown children Dan and Abbie who also swam at the club.

The funeral will be at Streetly Crem West Chapel at 13:45 on Friday 27th August and afterwards at The Royal Exchange, Walsall Wood.
